Chennai Super Kings retain Ravindra Jadeja (IPL7) 2014

Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja born 6 December 1988.He is a professional Indian cricketer . He is a left-handed middle-order batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. Jadeja represents Saurashtra in first-class cricket, and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. He was part of the victorious Indian U-19 cricket team that won the World Cup in Malaysia in 2008. He also represented Indian U-19 cricket team in 2006. Jadeja also represented India in the 2009 and 2010 ICC World Twenty20 competitions
Ravindra Jadeja was selected by the Rajasthan Royals for the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, and played an important role in their victory (Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings in the final). Jadeja scored 135 runs from 14 matches at a strike rate of 131.06, his best score being 36* against Kings XI Punjab. He did even better in 2009, scoring 295 runs at a strike rate of 110.90,[15] and conceding fewer than 6.5 runs per over. Shane Warne, the captain of Rajasthan Royals, referred to Jadeja as a "superstar in the making".Warne also nicknamed him "Rockstar".

Jadeja sat out the 2010 IPL because of a ban arising from contractual irregularities.[19] In 2011, he was bought by the Kochi Tuskers Kerala for $950,000. Kochi Tuskers were terminated from the IPL in September 2011, and in the 2012 IPL player auction, Jadeja was bought by Chennai Super Kings for $2 million (approx. Rs. 9.8 crore) after a tie-breaker with Deccan Chargers who bid the same amount. Jadeja was the most expensive player of the year's auction.[20] He won the Man of the Match award in the second match of the season against Deccan Chargers for his all-round performance (48 runs off 29 balls, 5/16 in 4 overs).

Ravindra Jadeja was signed by Rajasthan Royals in  for the first & second season of Indian Premier League. In IPL-2008 season he impressed little bit but in the next season he was most dangerous player with his aggressive batting and spin bowling. Due to his quite impressive performance Royal’s caption Shane Warne and all his team mates call him as a rockstar. He played the major role in the victory of Rajasthan Royal.
He was ban for the Third edition of Indian Premier League due to some contractual irregularities. In 2011 IPL auction he was pick by Kochi Tuskers Kerala for $950000 for that edition of IPL. He was so aggressive in that season and hit many sixes during that edition. He played some match winning innings for Kochi Tuskers Kerala. But finally he For Fifth edition of IPL he was signed by Chennai Super Kings for around 2 million dollar, during that season he was the most expensive player.
